Welcome everybody. So good to have you here with me. This is just great that we're doing this. Actually. I had this idea 24 hours ago to do this workshop because I've been having a number of conversations over the last couple of weeks where people are saying, there's change during, there's something else for me to be stepping into. I'm wanting to get clear on something, but I haven't quite got that clarity, or I don't know what that is. And I just find when there's things that show up. That are recurring in my conversations. It's always a sign of something that I want to be sharing with you. So welcome. If you hear live, if you're catching the recording on the podcast, welcome to the workshop, getting clear on what's next. And inside this workshop, I'm going to be sharing with you some really key steps to creating clarity, to getting clear on what's next for you. And that might be something work wise, It could be something to do with a future decision. It could be a new pathway. Maybe there's a a question mark around a relationship and your path you want to step onto all sorts of things. There's to some degree, I think we're all waiting on something. And these question marks create some uncertainty for us in our life. Like, how am I going to do that? How is this going to play out? How will these steps come together? And it can feel uncomfortable not knowing everything about our future, not knowing what that might look like. And what I'll be introducing you to today is it's less about thinking about how to get there. And how to make this happen and much more about learning how to engage with the uncertainty of your future from a grounded place and with a calm nervous system. It's about creating the physical and emotional space for the clarity to flow to you, for the clarity to naturally emerge. And when you do that, You're not going to need to hunt down the clarity. You're not going to need to hunt down your next steps. That clarity is naturally going to emerge as a by product of doing these things. And I think also clarity is an invitation to return to ourselves, to return to ourselves, our own needs, our own desires, and I'm going to be sharing a little bit more about that with you as well. I would love to hear that. And as I was saying to some degree we're all waiting on something. There is something, there's always something that's looking for space to enter our lives, and the challenge is That our mind really likes to rush that clarity. It doesn't like the discomfort that can be created from being in what I call is the space in between of only partially knowing something. Knowing that we're here, but we want to be somewhere else and there's like a space that we have to sit in where we don't have all of that information. The mind loves certainty. It likes guarantees. It likes to have the whole picture laid out in front of it. And I think a lot of us, most of us as humans, this is very normal to walk around with a belief subconsciously is that I'm actually not safe unless I know, unless I have full clarity about things in my life, I'm not safe. And so we do a lot of things. To try and avoid uncertainty. And when the mind doesn't feel safe, it's going to keep us circulating and a lot of thinking, a lot of planning, and a lot of weighing up the options. And that pulls us into a really mental energy. And when we're spending a lot of time thinking, it creates doubt. It creates confusion. It creates overwhelm and frustration and stress. And when we're in this space. It's hard to be present. It's hard to enjoy what's in front of us. We can often grip and control and hold on tight. And it can be difficult to take action from the state as well. Sophie, you were saying that you're waiting on some next contracts to get confirmed and signed. And for you to have kind of clarity around that, around what's next for you work wise, yes. Anyone else, feel free to drop that in the chat. I would love to hear what is it that you're waiting on, what's brought you here today. So as I was saying, like when we're thinking a lot, thinking about what is it that I need to do? Where am I hitting? How's this all going to work out? It's a very mental energy and it will often create a stress response in our body. So I talk about a lot on my podcast, if you've listened to any episodes on my podcast, step your soul that there are four responses that our nervous system Pulls us into when we experience some kind of a perceived threat and they are freeze, flight, fawn and fight. So freeze is like when we're in this space of wondering what's next for me? How's this all gonna work out? What am I gonna be doing? Sometimes one of the modes that we can go into is the freeze response. So that is whereby we start to literally freeze in place. We might procrastinate on things that maybe might help us get clear. We might find ourselves scrolling a lot or doing things that kind of keep us disconnected from ourselves or a bit numbed out. Flight is another nervous system response. Another. demonstration of being in a stress response. So again, when we're in this space of being in between, we might find that we get really busy thinking. We're doing a lot of future planning. We're taking a whole lot of action trying to make this thing happen. That's the flight response. It's got that raciness. It's got that anxiousness to it. Worn is another one of the responses that our nervous system will take us into when we're experiencing a stress and that is Saying yes to all sorts of things. So maybe we're feeling uneasy about the fact that we don't have full clarity about what's next for us. We're not entirely sure. So then we take on a whole heap of stuff, right? Where there's actually, we're saying yes. We're always the person to put forward and say, yes, I'll do this. I'll do that for you. What do I need to do to please you? It's the people pleasing response. And when we're in that space, there's actually no real space for us to connect with what it is that we desire. You can see how there's a real need for us to be able to work with our nervous system and tend to the stress response that not knowing can create because this is a real blocker of clarity, which I'll be breaking down for you in a little bit here. So you might not necessarily think, Oh, I'm not really that stressed about being in this space. I don't feel stress consciously. Maybe that's not a conscious thought in your mind. I'm not. But maybe you're recognizing some of these patterns, some of these nervous system responses showing up in your life. And perhaps that's an indication for you that some of that uncertainty that you're dancing with is needing to be nurtured, that your nervous system and your body is needing to be nurtured through this process. And when you do that. That's what's going to unlock a lot of the clarity for you, which I'll break down for you in just a moment. Okay, let me jump into the chat box here, Lucy, clarity in terms of where to take things with my career. Awesome. Jules, organizational changes with which may bring about new opportunities. Okay, great. Finding clarity in my role in our business, perfect. Hi, Suzanne from Auckland. I'm not sure what I need clarity on at this time. Okay, perfect. Just be here to receive whatever you need to. Okay. Cool. So it's really difficult to know what's right for us and what we need to do when we're primarily living from the mind, when we're in this state of waiting to get to, to get clear. So I'd love to hear in the chat below, do you notice any of those stress responses showing up for you when you're in the space of figuring out like what's next for me? Do you notice any of those stress responses showing up for you? Do you notice that you're in freeze? Where you're procrastinating. Do you notice that you're in flight? Where you're busy racing around thinking about lots of stuff but feeling quite confused and overwhelmed in the process. Are you informed where you're taking on too much and that's blocking you from getting clear on and having the space to get clear. You notice any of those responses showing up in this process for you. So the irony is once we get the clarity laid out about what's next, there'll be something else that we don't know about, right? Then the mind will get busy on that thing and on it goes. So we can often find ourselves in this constant pattern of trying to get to the future, to get clear to, to feel safe. Once I get clear, then I'll feel safe. Then I'll feel calm and settled and relaxed. But the imitation here is we can't actually predict the future from where we are in this moment. So we actually can take that off the table. What we need to do instead is to settle our mind and body. And to actually create space for what is supposed to flow to us, to flow to us, and whether that be a new perspective, a new insight a new way forward, clarity about a decision, a new action to take, an opportunity that you're wanting. It's about creating space for this to flow to us. So if he's been in freeze, Lucy said, I feel like I vary between freeze and flight. Yeah. Sometimes we can move between all of them. Cool. Thanks for sharing. So here are some truths about clarity as we've been talking about. Clarity doesn't come from the mind and doesn't come from constantly thinking. It's going to come from your body and from creating space. So all of that clarity that you're seeking is going to come when you make space for it. It needs a safe place to land, and we've got to demonstrate that we've actually got a capacity for that clarity. Overthinking and being up in our mind will deplete our capacity for clarity. But feeling safe in our bodies will increase our capacity for clarity and really welcomes that in. And when I say feeling safe in our bodies, What I mean by that is feeling emotionally grounded, feeling calm, feeling at ease. And we think that having the plan, having the clarity, having the certainty, Is going to give us safety and to some extent, it will create that for us, but it can't be the only place that we're going to feel safe and secure. If we're waiting on having that clear plan to feel safe, it externalizes our sense of safety outside of ourselves and to some other place, some other time in the future. And then we don't allow ourselves to feel good until we get there. So it's the other way around. It's about creating safety first in our body, creating that sense of being emotionally grounded, calm at ease. And when we do that, the plan follows. So it's completely the total opposite of what our mind tries to convince us. The answer is the mind says, Let me think about this all day long, and then I'll have the plan, and then I'll be safe. And really what I'm saying here is totally the opposite. It's feel safe, create that sense of emotional safety in your body, that sense of groundedness and calmness in your body. Then the plan will follow, and then you'll have the clarity that you've been seeking. And what's cool about this is when we know how to feel safe in our bodies and to feel grounded in our bodies, it opens our mind up to new possibilities and new perspectives. It really creates a, opens us up to a higher level of thinking. So what you're going to find is that your intuition is going to drop things into your mind out of the blue. You're going to find when you can exist in the state more often than not. You're going to find that new solutions will emerge. New pathways are going to come to you out of nowhere. Things that you could pos you couldn't have possibly ever imagined would even be an option. They're going to come to you because you've created space for it. And I always say that none of the best ideas I've had in my work have ever come when I've been like thumping away on my laptop. The fearful part of the mind wants us to keep doing that wants us to keep working away, keep hammering away as a way to try and feel safe. But my best ideas have come when I've been feeling this way, feeling grounded, feeling calm, feeling at ease, feeling safe in my body, when I've been deliberately doing things, being disciplined about creating practices in my life but Enable me to feel this way so that when I'm washing the dishes or I'm out for a walk, boom, an idea will just drop in and I go, ah, that is the very thing that I've been waiting for. So not knowing how something is going to happen. Not having that clarity is not a bad thing. It's not a cause for concern. It's not something you need to worry about. It's an opportunity for you to redefine your relationship with uncertainty. Because when things are feeling uncertain, what that means is there's possibility. When we sense uncertainty, what that means is there's, it's, life is creating a space. For new things, for new ways, new methods, a new pathway, things that didn't exist before. So uncertainty isn't bad. It's creating space for more of the things that you're actually wanting. And I used to think that if I didn't know something, if there was some kind of uncertainty present in my life or in my business or in my work, that I'd done something wrong, that I should have done better or I should have. manage something better, or I should have thought harder or worked harder on something. And that if I didn't know bad things were ahead, that it was a reason to close up and contract and to start to feel worried. But that's not the case at all. I give this analogy often to my clients. It's like when we're in a space of not feeling fully certain, it's like walking into a dark room and there are no lights on, but you walk into this dark room and you can see. That there are things in this room, objects things in this space. And every part of us when we walk into a dark room wants to contract and close up and turn around and walk out of the room. That's what our fear mind tells us run away go and do other things to feel safe This is not safe. But here's the thing if you can stay in that room eventually what's going to happen is that the lights are going to start to come on and you're going to start to see ah There's that thing that I was sensing over there and then this thing over here gets illuminated and before long We just see everything That's in this room, it becomes clear. So the invitation is when you walk into a dark room, when you're walking into a space of not feeling fully certain or clear in your life is, can I keep my heart open? Can I stay open when every part of me wants to contract and close up? And turn away. Can I create that sense of emotional safety in my body so that I can open and expand and stay in this space? And if I can stay in this space, I know that things are going to get clear for me. So staying in that open expanded state, keeping your heart open is what opens your energy field. It opens your mind. It's what calls in and attracts your desires, the things that you've been seeking. And it just really goes against our natural self protective mechanisms that we have. That natural tendency to close up to worry, to overthink, to distract ourselves with other things. I think it's a real skill for us to learn, to be able to ground into this feeling of safety as we're moving through change, to not let that, to not let that change and uncertainty cause us to Yeah, I nervous system to dysregulate for us to feel emotionally really out of whack. I think it's a beautiful skill for us to learn. It's a discipline for us to be able to continue to ground, to re ground when we come out of it into this feeling of safety. Because this is the key part. Hopefully this message is starting to get through. This is the key part to creating the clarity that you're seeking. So I'm going to take you through a few of my favorite techniques in a moment to create safety and creating safety is a key concept that we teach inside my program, Working Lightly, which I'll share more with you at the end of the session today. So creating space for clarity looks like physical space. So what I want to ask you is how full is your calendar? What does like a typical week look like for you? Do you have time and space to just be? What are your weekends like? Are they filled with loads of activities, seeing lots of people, lots of things to do, lots of jobs? What happens when you get home from work? Or maybe what happens when the kids get, go down to bed? What are you doing in those moments and in that space? You want to think of the clarity that you're seeking in your life as like an energy that's knocking on the door of your life. So imagine that clarity that you're wanting about what's next is knocking on your front door. Of your life and you want to be able to open that energy of clarity and say, come on in. I've got space for you. Come and sit down. You're welcome here. But a lot of the time we have so much going on in our lives. Our lives are so full. It's like that clarity is knocking, but it's just there's just things bursting at the door. There's just no room for that clarity to come in at all. Yeah. And I think often when we're feeling uncomfortable about not having clarity, when we're feeling a bit unsafe about the uncertainty, we'll subconsciously fill our life with a lot of things to do so that we don't have to sit in that discomfort. We don't have to sit in the discomfort of those feelings because it can be a bit tricky to sit with some of this, Ah, what's next? I don't know. And this is really normal and what you're going to find is it becomes a lot easier to sit in physical space to create more space in your life when you're processing those feelings about change. So sometimes we can, yeah, fill our life with loads of activities. We might find that we do have downtime, that we fill that downtime with scrolling on our phone. Other things that keep us distracted from being in our bodies and connecting with how we're feeling. Yeah. So I want to invite you to find some familiarity with doing less. This is a real goal for you to get clear. Less things on the weekend, even if those things seem really good, like they're great catch ups or like people that you want to see, I just want to invite you to scale things back. Less commitments, thinking about what you might need to say no to, where you might need to be bringing in extra support to really embrace simplicity in your life, to create more time to just be in space. What might that look like for you? Do you think what might you need to do to create physical space in your life? I'd love if you drop that in the chat. I'm going to change this view so that I can see you all. How can you create more physical space in your life? It might be just like that first thing that's coming to mind. And as you do that, I'm going to take you into the second part of space, which is emotional space. Emotional space. Discipline thinking time. Nice Jules. And you're right, it is a discipline isn't it, to create that time, to just be. It doesn't just happen on its own, the phone scrolling, yeah, for all of us, right? It can be so addictive and such an easy thing that we can get sucked into when we're feeling a bit uncertain. The second part of this, we're talking about physical space. Now I want to go into emotional space. So it's about not letting the mind convince you that constantly thinking about this is going to solve it for you. When your mind is wanting to draw you into a lot of overthinking, a lot of wondering about what's next, you've got to process the emotional static that's creating in you. So what this is processing the stress response that some of that uncertainty is creating in you. So it's moving from your head, To your body. So when you're noticing that you are starting to overthink about something or you're getting worried about something, it's coming back to your breath. So using that in for four out for six breaths like we did in the beginning. Maybe it's getting a journal out or a piece of paper out and just like writing out all of your worries. I talk about on the podcast, I think it's the episode about decompressing at the end of the day on, I think there's actually a separate episode about. This writing practice, I think it's something like something, the title is something to do with this writing practice and it's a writing practice I call release writing. It's a way to get all of those thoughts, those concerns, those worries out of our head and onto paper. Another technique that's amazing to use to process emotional static to create more emotional space is tapping emotional freedom technique. Just something that I teach in all of my programs. It's an amazing way of essentially tapping specific points of your face and body to release worries, release the overthinking, the overwhelm, and just come back to this place of feeling much more grounded, much more calm, more at ease. There are points on our forehead called emotional stress release points. So it's hold your hand over your forehead like this, or use two hands like this. And you take deep breaths in while you hold these points. It's an amazing way to just release all that kind of heaviness, that overthinking, that worrying, and just use your breath as you hold these points. That's a great thing to use in these moments as well. So it's releasing the energy of worry. It's releasing the future planning, the future tripping, and coming back to your body. Remembering that your body is where the safety is. This is what's going to create the capacity for the clarity that you're seeking. The other week you also Sophie, the other week you talked about doubting the doubt that has been helpful for me and I've shared it with family and friends. Yes, that was something that I shared on a workshop that I did. Last week I think it was, or maybe it was the week before. I can't remember. But yeah, bringing doubt to doubt. Why isn't that doubt true? What evidence do you have that demonstrates this is possible for you? What evidence do you have in your life that demonstrates you are the person for this? That could be really helpful. Okay. So techniques like that, techniques that create emotional space. Really important. And you might have things already in your own toolbox that you use in this space. These are all techniques that are used inside working lightly. We have a whole suite of tools that we use to calm the nervous system, to settle the mind and body, to help you move through your days and weeks, feeling so much more grounded, more at ease. And as we've been talking about, that's how the clarity flows. The next thing that I want to talk to you about is creating clarity invites us to reconnect with ourselves. So yes, emotional space and physical space supports this. But what I find is that I work with a lot of women who will come into my space feeling uncertain about what's next for them, what they should be doing. They're sensing a change. They're feeling like they want to do something new. They want to step into a new pathway, but they can't quite figure it out. out what that is or how to make it happen or what the first step is. And there's certainly work that we can do in the space of goal and intention setting around that. But it's also comes as a by product of reconnecting with yourself. So as women, we're really used to pouring into other people. We're used to pouring our energy into others meeting everyone else's needs. We're often playing out people pleasing tendencies where we're expending a lot of our energy making sure that we're being perceived the right way by people, that people like us, that they accept us, that we, they think that we're good enough. And when we're playing this stuff out, all of this moves us further away from ourselves. And when we're far away from ourselves, it's not a surprise that it's really tough to know what it is that we want and what's right for us. How we're doing things at the micro level illustrates a lot of what's happening for us at the macro level. So if we aren't clear on our needs, and we're not meeting our needs on a daily basis, on a weekly basis, And those needs might be a need for rest, a creativity, a need for fun, a need for joy, a need for connection, a need for safety, whatever that might be. We're not clear on our needs and we're not meeting those needs. On a daily, weekly basis. How are we going to get clear on what it is that we want from life overall? So I think a lot of the time, clarity is an invitation to return home to ourselves, to start to really come back to this place of my needs are important. I'm important. I'm worthy of time and attention and care. And when I'm clear on what I need, and when I'm clear on how I need to take care of myself, and I'm doing those things. This is what generates the clarity for us at a larger level. So I want you to think about what are your needs? What needs do you have right now? Is it a need for rest, for creativity, for joy, fun, love, connection, safety? What needs do you have right now? Maybe it's something completely different. And are you meeting these needs for yourself on a daily, weekly basis? Or are you asking for what you need from other people to ensure that these needs can be met? What's coming for you around that? What are your needs? And are you meeting these for yourself or are you asking for what you need from other people? And sometimes we actually don't know what our needs are. And that's like a great indication that this is a space for you. This is an area for you to spend some time on, because it's through that, that we reconnect with ourselves. We reconnect with our desires. We reconnect about what with, we connect with that clarity about what's right for us and what isn't. So it's a big, it's a big step. If we're not clear on what our needs are, we're not meeting those needs. That connection isn't really present with ourselves. And we're wanting to get clear about what's happening all the way out here. The biggest stuff in life. It's a huge jump from where we are to there. And sometimes this is about what I call like honoring the call of yes. So oftentimes we think we can't get started because we don't see The whole picture yet, or we're operating this place of thinking like things aren't happening for us because we're waiting for just everything, every element of this clarity to show up for us and to be served up to us on a platter in one go. And what I found most of the time is that clarity about what it is that we're wanting to do next doesn't normally show up in one go. Sometimes I've seen it happen where like the full piece shows up in one go, but more often than not what happens is that clarity about what's next is going to come to you in what I call small breadcrumb moments. So rather than waiting for this big picture of clarity to show up in one go on this silver platter served up to you, I want you to think about. Saying yes to the little small breadcrumbs that life is leading, leaving for you because that's what's going to create momentum. So there might be small whispers, small little nudges that you're getting right now about things that feel like a yes. And they're probably very much tied to the needs that you have as well. So it might seem really small and insignificant to follow those little nudges. Oh, I've got, what feels like a yes right now is I want to spend more time out in nature. What feels like a yes right now is I want to be more creative. Like I'm just focused so much on work and I'm, I've lost that creative streak or that sense of joy. So it's looking for those small yeses, honoring the call of yes in your life. What are those small nudges? What are those small yeses? And realizing that's often the breadcrumbs that life is leaving for us. That's if we can keep following those little uses that have been dropped out in front of us, that's actually going to lead us to that big drop of clarity, that big insight of, wow, okay, yes, this is what I'm supposed to be doing. And you'll look back. One day when you do have that full piece of clarity and you'll realize that it never did come in one moment. It wasn't like it dropped down from the sky. It was these series of small breadcrumb moments that you followed. These small yeses that you honored in your life, even if they seemed unrelated to what it is that you're wanting, but they were leading you into that place of certainty. So don't wait for the big light bulb moment. Don't wait for the huge aha to flow down. Put yourself in an energy of momentum so that you can start to draw more of what you're wanting to you. So looking for those breadcrumbs in front of you, those are really what your yeses are. So maybe for you, the yeses are like, Oh, I want to read a bit more about this. This topic's interesting to me. Or I want to, I'm really craving a group of like minded people who talk about these sorts of topics. Or maybe, as I said, it's spending time out in nature. Maybe it's stillness time. That's feeling like a yes for you. That's a breadcrumb that life is leaving for you. Perhaps it's giving back to yourself, giving back to others in a particular way. It's doing certain things on your weekends that you feel would be really nourishing and supportive for you. So is there anything for you, for those that are here live, That's feeling like a yes for you. Something that you feel like, ah, this feels like a breadcrumb and don't disregard it, even if it seems really small, these small breadcrumbs lead us to the big loaf that we've been wanting it's leading us to what we've been asking for, and I think just like a further point around the people pleasing that I was talking about earlier. Was. A lot of the clarity that we're seeking is going to sit outside of this tendency. So this need that we often have to be liked, to be approved of, to have people perceive us in a certain way, the clarity that you're seeking is going to sit outside of that tendency. It's going to ask you to step out of. Needing to make decisions that are right for other people is going to ask you to step out of needing to make decisions that other people approve of. And it's going to ask you to sit in the discomfort of maybe some people not necessarily getting or agreeing with what it is that you're doing. And that's when you know you're on the right track. If your next steps are asking you to sit in that discomfort, that's when you know you're landing on something really purposeful for yourself. Because you're breaking out of that conditioning of this is who I thought I had to be, this is who people expect me to be, but actually what feels right for me is this. And just because it feels uncomfortable for you to do that, it doesn't mean that it's the wrong path or the wrong step for you. I just want to invite you to close your eyes down, if you're listening to the recording, if you can do that, or if you're here live with me, and just take another one of those deep breaths in and out, and I just want you to think about if there was no way that you could muck this up, there was no way you could get this wrong, that if you knew that whatever you step towards, that you would be provided for, that your needs would be met, that you No matter what you did, that you would still be loved and accepted, that it was so safe to be yourself, it was so safe to express yourself as yourself, and that people would approve of you regardless. What is it that you would want to be doing? You can open your eyes whenever you're ready. It's likely to be a journaling question to sit with, and that's why I left it in your worksheet. Something to sit with over the coming days, something to maybe to ponder on over a weekend or at night when you're creating this physical space, when you've cleared the emotional space from the day, you've let go of the stresses of the day, sit with this question. And see what comes forward. See what's the nudges are. Lucy, organizing to have a coffee with people that are similar and a similar and similar businesses to where I want, might want to take my career. Yes. Great. That sounds like an excellent breadcrumb move. Sophie, I've been practicing more gratitude. I see number sequences a lot. So now when I do, I have to name five things that I'm grateful for. Awesome. And that's like another beautiful breadcrumb. step, isn't it? It's not always a, an outer step. Sometimes it's an inner step so that I can inner move something that we need to be practicing like from within. Beautiful. Okay. We're coming down the home straight here to the last part. And then I'd be really happy to open up with Q and a coaching. If you have any questions, I'd be really happy to answer that for you. So the final point here is our beliefs. So to bring our next steps to pass, It's going to have a lot to do with our beliefs about the thoughts that we're holding about change and really About what's possible for ourselves and the thoughts and beliefs that we're holding about ourselves overall So a big part of generating clarity is anchoring into beliefs That what we want is possible for us that it's possible for us to do something new that It's that we're capable, that we're good enough to do something new, that it's safe for us to do something new. So I want to ask you what thoughts does your mind throw your way about change, about potential change? What do you hear your mind telling you? What are those little doubts and worries that circulate in your head? I'm not going to be any good at it. No one's going to want it. What will people think? What if I fail? Kind of those sorts of thoughts, right? That rattle around in our mind. and it can be helpful just as just to be aware of that as a starting point, right? To know ah, this is why some of this stuff has felt a little bit like walking through thick mud. It's because I've been trying to contend with thoughts that are trying to tell me that I might be a failure or I'm not good enough, or this isn't possible for me. So I want you to think about in what ways are these beliefs or thoughts getting in the way of clarity for you? How are they actually stopping you from stepping into something new? Maybe you notice that these beliefs or thoughts cause you to hold yourself back. You procrastinate. Maybe you don't take action. You talk yourself out of doing things that you know are actually going to create more clarity that you know are going to move you ahead. Maybe they make you feel really confused, they make you feel overwhelmed. am I just thinking that the grass will be greener and I don't like it? Yeah what if I don't like it? What if it's this thing that I really have been building up in my mind and it's not everything that I thought it would be? That definitely sounds like something that our mind tells us when we're sitting with change. Totally. And you can see how that can almost cause us to be in the freeze response. Oh, I don't think I can take action. Cause what if, so if you think about it, the beliefs that we hold, the thoughts that we're thinking, they're really like the foundation of everything that we do, everything flows from a belief. If you've been connected to my work at all, it was always something that we come back to. This is like the foundational piece because how we think. It leads to how we act and how we act leads to our outcomes and results in life. So there's a saying by Henry Ford where he says, whether we believe we can do something or we believe that we can't, we're right. So what we're thinking becomes a self fulfilling prophecy and will often act in ways that will subconsciously confirm that thought or belief to be true. So if we don't believe that something is possible for us, we'll often act in ways That will confirm that to be true. We will not take action. We will not step forward into the opportunities that are likely to make that happen. So it's difficult for us to push through low belief. But when our beliefs and thoughts are in alignment with the outcomes that we're seeking, this is what allows everything to flow. Because we're believing that change is possible for us. We're open, our mind is open, our intuition is open and clear. We become this open receptor to the clarity that we're seeking and it just drops in. And then on the action front, because we're believing change is possible, because we're believing that we can do it, it's so much easier to take action. We actually step forward into that. We create the circumstances around us. That make it possible, right? We, we think that thought and we act in ways that confirm that to be true. So what beliefs would support you in creating the change that you're seeking in your life? And I've given you a couple as an example, my future is bright and it's filled with good things. I'm ready to receive what's next. Maybe it's, I'm capable of doing new things. I believe in myself. I believe change is possible for me. I believe that I can be a success. I believe that I can do this. What's that belief that you need to be lead, leading with, that's going to support this whole process. It's going to support you to feel more open to receive clarity, but it's also going to support you to take action, which will generate more clarity for you and feel free to drop that below. So for you, it's safe for me to have all the, it's safe for me to not have all the answers. I'm ready to receive what's next. Beautiful. And that means that your mind doesn't make it a problem that you don't see it all yet. It doesn't mean bad things are ahead. It doesn't mean that you need to contract close up and turn around. You remind yourself, I can sit in this space and I can be, I can feel safe here. Everything's going to be okay. Even if I don't have it all. I love that. And that's the thing. When we change our beliefs, not only does it like open us up to more clarity, but it helps us take the action and action is part of clarity too. Action is part of what generates clarity for us. So as we start to step out and we follow some of these yeses, we follow some of these breadcrumbs, that we get lead from one breadcrumb, one yes to another. We'd say yes to that thing and then something else shows up. And each time we do that, more and more things start to show up on our path. And those things are building out more of this picture for us. So when we're grounded into belief and certainty about our ability to do something new, that's what allows us to take the action, which generates more of the clarity. So the clarity piece, we can't get around the belief piece with this changing our thoughts, changing our beliefs about what we feel is possible for us about what we feel we can do. That's a really key part of it. And the self belief pieces are a continual theme throughout working lightly my program that's open from enrollment right now. And I teach you how to change your beliefs, how to release and let go of thinking that's holding you back and in life and in work and how to change those thoughts and beliefs, how we can believe more deeply in ourselves how to believe that change is possible, that we're capable of change. And when we can sit in that certainty and belief about ourselves, it just opens up so many possibilities and it makes taking action so much easier that action feels light and easy on our system. It doesn't feel like such a burden doesn't feel like wading through mud and the way that maybe it has in the past. So the clarity recipe is create physical space, create the emotional space. To really processing the stress that maybe the uncertainty is creating in you, but also just creating processing the stress from life, from work, from the demands of life and work, making sure that you're releasing and letting go of that stuff every day so that your mind can be more clear, doesn't feel so full so that your space for that clarity when it knocks on the door of your life for it to come in and be welcomed in. Number three, reconnect to yourself and your own needs. So this is stepping out of that pattern of people pleasing or overgiving or always pouring into other people. And it's coming back to yourself and asking, what are my needs? And am I meeting them? Honoring the call of yes, looking for the small yeses. Picking up the breadcrumbs and moving forward with them and the fifth point sitting in the space in between. So as I said to Sophie, not allowing it to be a problem that you don't know it all yet. Choosing to ground into this feeling of emotional safety, creating that feeling as often as you need to throughout the day. When you can sit in the space in between and feel safe. I know, like I know. You will be lead to the clarity that you've been seeking. If you have the ability to sit in the discomfort of not knowing at all, and you can feel safe, you can feel grounded, you will be open enough to receive what it is that you've been seeking.
